Urgent Care Services

We are proud to offer Urgent Care (UC) services to support individuals in Dorchester and Queen Anne’s County during critical moments. This program is designed to help high-risk individuals who have contacted the Crisis Hotline or were referred by a local Emergency Department.

Appointment Availability

  • Dorchester County: Appointments available 4 days a week, with 4-hour time slots each day.
  • Queen Anne’s County: Appointments available 3 days a week, with 3-hour time slots each day.

What to Expect

During a UC appointment, individuals meet with a licensed therapist for a comprehensive safety assessment and personalized recommendations for follow-up services. These appointments are specifically for those experiencing suicidal ideation or crises that pose a threat to themselves or others. The goal is to reduce the need for inpatient hospitalizations by providing immediate, focused care.

Services Provided

  • One-time crisis session with a licensed therapist.
  • Referrals for ongoing care, which may include:
    • Enrollment in our services.
    • Appointments with prescribers for medication management.
    • Connections to programs such as mobile treatment, school-based program, or Substance Use Disorder (SUD) services.

Tailored Recommendations

We prioritize what’s best for each individual, ensuring that referrals align with their needs—even if that means connecting them with providers outside our service area or specialized programs. While we encourage clients to enroll with CRMHS, we remain committed to a person-centered approach to care.
